Road trip to Lavasa

I love the monsoon as I get lots of options to roam aroud Pune...
This year, I was eagerly waiting for this season.

On first weekend after first rain, we decided to go to Lavasa as we have some old memories. Sometimes journey is more beautiful than destination.

We started by 11 am from home. We did not face much traffic as it was a weekday. Lavasa road is too much crowded and full of traffic on weekends, so we chose Wednesday.

As soon as we crossed Bhugaon and that Manas lake, mother nature started welcoming us with her green and foggy hands.

In the period of June end to start of July, the villagers are selling Jamuns or Mangoes on the road. We always buy mangoes from them and finish them before our day trip ends and we had our favourite companion Rain with us all the way with some hide and seek.

We reached to Temghar dam. There was less water in the dam  but due to rain one small waterfall is there. We had our photo session and grabbed some Kanda-bhaji and vada-pav. Having these food items while it is raining is the heaven for any monsoon lover.

Two ghats back to back were ready to welcome us, among the tough ones. But the good point is we got near about 5-6 reachable and safe waterfalls on that road. We enjoyed with Sweet corns and Chai and again some photos and moved towards destination.

Hidden place
These days there is huge parking charges in Lavasa. we took left turn before Lavasa gate and found hidden gem. There was a beautiful, foggy and lonely road, but it was too good. We parked our car at one point safely and started walking.
we were four people so we dared to stop there, but if you are traveling alone then be careful.
There was a old petrol pump, water and petrol tanks like a scene in any horror movie.
We climbed on one of the tank and what a view it was!! But it was just for a moment then fog covered everything, I couldn't take a single photo of that view.

We again had some photo sessions and started our return journey with mesmerising memories..
